AATMA is a state of the art martial arts school which lays emphasis on the traditional aspects of martial arts and makes use of the most modern scientific results and methodology for effectively imparting training. The school was founded by Sensei K Raghunathan along with his students. Sensei has been training in diverse disciplines of martial arts for over 30 years. He is a 4th Dan Black Belt in Karate from Japan Shotokan Karate Association (JSKA) and a second Dan in Taekwondo from Korea. He is also a practitioner of the Chinese martial art of Tai Chi.

Sensei Raghunathan has served in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and has been a trainer in Unarmed Combat (UAC). He has assisted Sensei Gopalakrishnan in training "Thunderbolts" the commando wing of Kerala Police.
